For the past 20 years, Robin Graine, JD has been an advocate of mediation as the sensible alternative to litigation. She is a Virginia Supreme Court Certified Mediator available for court referrals, court ordered mediations and private self-referred mediations in all areas of divorce and family conflict.
Robin is a former Family Law Attorney, Hearing Officer and Mediator in the City of Chicago. She graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1989 and retains her license to practice law in the state Illinois.
Robin is well-versed in the legal trends in Virginia as they relate to divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, grounds, classification of property, equitable division of property, distribution of debt, tax issues upon divorce and the standards and norms upon which the courts rely when deciding what would be in the best interest of the children.
Robin has been an independent businesswoman since 2000 and, prior to opening Graine Mediation, Robin owned and managed a personal training, health and fitness company, MindBody Robin, specializing in Pilates, yoga and integrative approaches to exercise, weight loss and post-rehab work. Robin continues to work with a select group of clients and maintains her fitness and mind-body technique certifications.
